Our Investigative Process at AAA Drain Unblocking

1. We start with a detailed inspection of the affected drains and connections

This allows us to pinpoint blockage locations and their nature. 

For instance, we once cleared a blocked sewer line at a Margate Road client site, in Auckland, by removing a television screw, hydro jetting the line, and flow testing it to verify the blockage was gone.

In another case, one of our crews inspected rear drains, conducted flow tests, and cleared access debris to evaluate the drain's condition.

At a childcare center with a blocked drain, we discovered a break in the line and recommended further investigation by a contractor to fix the underlying structural problem. 

At a different client site, we suspected a soak hole was causing recurring blockages. We recommended excavation for a closer look.

We are always searching our large data collection for common causes of drain blockages and likely geographic or  topological patterns.

3. We understand that sometimes a quick fix isn't enough. 

We often recommend preventative measures like annual maintenance to reduce the chance of future blockages. This proactive approach is a non-negotiable element of our dedication to providing long-term solutions for our customers.

4. Our dedication to finding the root cause extends to even the smallest details

When we encounter a blockage, we carefully document the debris found, such as wet wipes, paper towels, and kitchen waste. 

This information helps us educate our customers about common drain blockage culprits and encourages responsible drain use.

5. Our resources demonstrate our willingness to invest time and money to fully grasp our customers’ problems. 

In one complex case with a repeatedly blocked cesspit, we consulted GIS plans, cut a downpipe for hydro jetting. Then  brought in a plumber.

We did not clear the blockage and leave the customer to try and figure out when it would recur.
